Description: |
Erect herb up to c. 35 cm tall but often shorter. Stems simple or branched, 4-angled below, more or less scabrid. Leaves opposite, sessile, linear,1-4 cm long, more or less scabrid above and glandular-punctate beneath. Flowers axillary, usually solitary or sometimes few together on pedicels up to 5 mm long. Calyx with lateral sepals lanceolate up to 3.5 mm long and other sepals broadly ovate up to 6.5 mm long, all with a prominent mid-vein. Corolla 4-6 mm long with upper lip emarginate and lower lip with 3 more or less equal lobes, white, pink,blue or violet. Capsule somewhat flattened-ellipsoid, c. 3.25 mm long. hairless. |
