Description:
Erect perennial herb or subshrub, up to 1.8 m. Stems clustered from the base, angular, densely grey pubescent when young. Leaves 1-foliolate, elliptic-ovate, 2.5-7.5 cm long, cordate at the base, grey pubescent on both surfaces, venation reticulate and raised beneath; petiole 4-7 mm long. Stipules lanceolate, 3-5 mm long, hairless inside. Inflorescences racemes, terminal and from the uppermost axils, 5-8.5 cm long, flowers congested. Corolla yellow; standard with purple stripes, oblong-obovate, c. 17 mm long, hairless; keel with dark purple tips.
