Description: |
Caespitose perennial up to 100 cm tall, erect or geniculately ascending; lowermost leaf sheaths splitting into persistent fibres; leaf laminas flat or involute, 2–15 cm × 2–5.5 mm.Inflorescence 6–13(19) cm long, comprising 2–7(14) scattered racemes, these (2)4–7(20) cm long, rigid, less than their own length apart on a rhachis 0.4–0.9 mm wide.Spikelets (2.8)3–4.4 mm long; lemma 1.2–2.2 mm long, ovate, softly pilose on the nerves and back; palea softly pilose on the back. |
