Notes: 2 m high; Shrub; Notes: 2 m shrub next to large tree. Branches trichotomously. Sometimes a spine in the place of a branch. Sticky fluids when cut. Leaves closely clustered on dwarf shoots. Leaves smooth, dark green above, light green below. Slightly hairy below. Midrib very prominent below. Midrib above paler than blade. Apex notched and often curled under. Lateral veins clear. Stem smooth and not peeling. Sandy plain, Mopane/Terminalia sericea woodland.
