Description

The rocky terrain of open deciduous woodland between the Hot Springs Resort and the banks of the Odzi River offers a fascinating array of species, able to survive in this harsh dry environment at low altitudes. Particularly during the rainy season, the area is rich in annual herbs.

The disturbed but slighter wetter areas along the Hot Springs lake and the banks of the Odzi River add different indigenous plants, such as Kanahia laniflora (Asclepiadaceae), as well as interesting introduced weedy species, like Ipomoea carnea (Convolvulaceae) and Jatropha gossypiifolia (Euphorbiaceae) .
