Terrestrial rhizomatous herbs. Stems erect, leafy. Leaves thin, petiolate, with sheathing base. Inflorescence erect, terminal. Flowers small, mostly white, often glandular-hairy; lateral sepals united for c.1/2 their length. Lip erect, saccate at base, bearing apical divergent lobes. Column with 2 apical appendages. Worldwide: 15 species in the Old World tropics Mozambique: 1 taxon. |
