Description: |
More or less erect glaucous herb up to c. 50 cm high. Tendrils rarely present, usually not curly at the end. Leaves (sub)sessile, 3-5-foliolate, fleshy. |
Notes: | See the similar Cyphostemma omburense for comparison. That species mainly differs in its prostrate or climbing habit with distinct curled tendrils and inflorescences appearing more axillary. |
Derivation of specific name: | schlechteri: named after Friedrich Schlechter (1872-1925), German botanist and traveller. |
