Description: |
Shrub or small tree up to c. 5 m tall. Branchlets pale grey to whitish, hairy only when young. Leaves alternate or clustered at the ends of small lateral branchlets, Obovate to oblanceolate, 15-50 mm long, leathery, shiny green, hairless except for a fringe of brown, white-tipped hairs on the lower half of the midrib beneath; margin rolled under; petiole up to 4 mm long. Flowers in few-flowered axillary clusters, pure white, fading to yellow, c. 12 mm long, lower petals slightly longer than upper 2, sweetly scented. Fruit a fleshy drupe, c. 10 mm in diameter, pointed at the apex, cream to yellow when ripe. |
