Robust perennial herb, growing from an extensive underground rhizome, c. 8 mm in diameter. Leafy shoots up to 1.5 m tall. Flowers pale mauve to almost white, with a yellow patch at the base of the lip. Fruit ovoid, up to 10 cm long, beaked with the remains of the calyx tube. |
