| Description: |
Shrub or small tree to 4 m tall. Young branches with recurved prickles. Leaves 5-18 cm long, with (1-)2-4 pairs of leaflets. Leaflets 3-7 cm long, elliptic to broadly elliptic, glabrous beneath, crenulate, subsessile or with short stalks, the leaflets on flowering shoots with pellucid glands scattered throughout the lamina. Inflorescence of terminal, and sometimes axillary, panicles. Flowers 4-merous, in cymose clusters. Male flowers: sepals 4; petals 4, 3.5 × 1.5 mm. Female flowers: petals 4.5 × 1.7 mm; ovary of 1 carpel. Fruit c. 8 mm in diameter, spherical, orange-red, densely pitted with glands. |
