Perennial herb growing from a woody rootstock. Stem very short or absent in this variety. Leaves in a basal rosette, obovate, oblong-elliptic to almost circular, 3-13 cm long, rough hairy on both surfaces, somewhat discolorous; margin double crenate. Flowers mostly c. 5, yellow to pale orange, on a peduncle 2-14.5 cm long |
