Description: |
Much-branched evergreen tree. Bark smooth, yellowish or brown and green, flaking. Suface roots laterally compressed and ribbon-like. Leaves paripinnate with usually 1-2 pairs of leaflets; petiole and rhachis up to 8.5 cm long. Leaflets opposite, elliptic-oblong or obovate-elliptic, up to 12 cm long but usually smaller, hairless, leathery with prominent veins on both surfaces. Flowers in lax racemes of 2-3-flowered clusters, whitish or pale pink. Fruit large, up to 20 cm in diameter with tour obscure grooves along the surface. |
