Description: |
Shrub or tree to 20 m. Leaves thinly coriaceous, glabrous; lamina 2-5 × 1-2.5 cm, elliptic to obovate, shiny dark green above, dull green beneath; base acute; apex acute, apiculate or rounded; margin slightly undulate. Flowers white to cream, borne in clusters of 1-2 leaf axils. Calyx brownish-pubescent. Corolla: tube c. 1 mm; median and lateral segments approximately equal in shape and size; lateral segments undivided. Fruit ovoid, beaked, 2-3.5 cm long, yellow to orange-red when ripe; fruiting calyx reflexed. |
