Description: |
Deciduous tree. Bark smooth, grey. Leaves paripinnate with 3-4 pairs of leaflets; petiole 1.4-2.1 cm long; rhachis 3-8 cm long, channelled above; hairless or pubescent; leaflets elliptic to obovate, up to 7.6 cm long, slightly asymmetric, hairless or pubescent; terminal pair largest; 1-3 resinous glands present near the base of each leaflet. Inflorescences in 8-12-flowered, leaf-opposed racemes, appearing terminal on short shoots. Flowers white with narrowly obovate-elliptic petals 4-6 mm long, strongly midveined. Pod flattened, asymmetrically obtriangular, 10-14 cm long, ridged along each side of the upper margin, explosively dehiscent. |
