Description: |
Shrubby perennial herb with stems up to 60 cm long. Leaves linear to linear-elliptic, 2–7 cm long, with tuberculate short appressed bristly hairs on both surfaces. Inflorescences 1–5 cm long, 2–8 flowered, terminal, sometimes solitary flowers in leaf upper axils; pedicels 1-2 cm long, up to 3 cm in fruit, appressed bristly hairy. Sepals lanceolate, 9–12 mm long, cordate at the base, becoming ovate and papery, up to 25 x 20 mm in fruit. Corolla blue or sometimes pinkish-blue, 12–22 mm long; lobes ovate with along acuminate apex, reflexed over the sepals. |
