Description:
|
Small shrub up to 1.6 m high with young branches grey pubescent. Leaves lanceolate, oblong or elliptic, 1.5-6 cm long, almost hairless or shortly green hairy above, densely whitish or yellowish hairy beneath; margin coarsely toothed; petiole up to 1 cm long.; stipules 2-4 mm long, densely grey-hairy. Inflorescences leaf-opposed, 3-5-flowered, on peduncles up to 1 cm long, densely grey-hairy. Sepals linear with a caudate apex, up to 1 cm long, densely hairy outside. Petals oblanceolate, 7-8 mm long, yellow. Stamens numerous. Capsule ovoid, up to 2 × 1.5 cm including a dense covering of stellate hairy bristles. |
