Shrub or small tree, 2-5 m tall. Leaves: lamina broadly ovate to subcircular in outline, 3-lobed (rarely entire), lepidote above and beneath; 5-veined from the base; margin entire; base truncate or shallowly cordate. Flowers solitary and axillary or forming terminal racemes or panicles. Epicalyx bracts 3-5, linear to subulate, caducous. Petals up to 4.5 × 3 cm, obovate. Fruit c. 15 mm in diameter, subspherical, red, hairless, ± fleshy. |
