Description: |
Laxly branched, erect perennial herb, up to c. 60 cm tall. Leaves alternate, subsessile or shortly petiolate, linear-lanceolate, narrowly lanceolate-oblong or elliptic, up to c. 8 cm long, green and finely hairy above, densely matted with silvery-white appressed T-shaped hairs below; margin entire, often wavy. Capitula numerous, in lax terminal clusters. Involucral bracts numerous, narrowly lanceolate, up to 8 mm long, appressed hairy outside, often purplish at the apex and along the margins. Florets discoid, mauve to purple. |
