Description:
|
Vigorous climber with an unpleasant smell. Leaves opposite or in whorls of 3. elliptic to ovate, grey-green, densely velvety, particularly below; petiole up to 15 cm long, velvety. Flowers in axillary many flowered heads on long peduncles, whitish to pale creamy-yellow. Fruit compressed ellipsoid, c. 12 mm long, yellowish to brownish, crowned by the persistent calyx lobes. |

bojeriana: after Wenceslas Bojer (1795/1797-1856), Czech naturalist, horticulturist and botanist at the Imperial Museum at Vienna who collected extensively in Mauritius, Madagascar, Comoro Islands and on the East coast of Africa. |
