Shrub or small tree. Leaves opposite, mostly towards the ends of branches, often unequal in size near the inflorescences. Leaves broadly elliptic, thinly textured, sparsely hairy, particularly on the veins, the lower surface dotted along the veins with dark bacterial nodules Stipules with a hair-like tip, persistent. Flowers in attractive hemispherical heads, white. Fruit round in terminal clusters, black when ripe. |
