Description: |
Evergreen shrub or small tree with horizontal branches. Leaves opposite, elliptic to narrowly ovate, dark green, leathery, lateral veins indented above, glabrous except for tufted domatia. Flowers greenish-white, in dense heads long slender corolla tubes up to 7 cm. Fruit ellipsoid to spindle-shaped, crowned with the persistent calyx lobes, yellow when ripe. |
