Description:	Shrubby perennial up to c. 75 cm tall. Leaves opposite, more or less narrowly ovate, velvety; margin entire. Flowers axillary. Enlarged calyx lobes ovate, velvety; margin entire, without spines. Corolla pale mauve with a white centre. stamens and style exserted from the corolla.
Notes:	A very hairy form is found in Southeastern Zimbabwe and Western Mozambique. This form may prove to be distinct from B. matopensis (Iain Darbyshire, pers comm., March 8 2010).
