Description: |
Twining woody climber or sometimes a scrabling shrub up to 4 m high. Young branches 4-angled, narrowly winged. Leaves opposite, elliptic, 8-12.5 cm long; margin wavy, particularly in the lower part; petiole 3-8 mm long, narrowly winged below. Flowers solitary, axillary on pedicels 4-9 cm long. bracteoles pale green, ovate or elliptic, 2-3.6 cm long, hairless. Corolla with a mostly pale whitish tube, up to 6 cm long; upper part tube and lobes deep violet-blue or purple, yellow in the throat. Capsule 2.5-3 cm long, hairless. |
