Description:

Erect perennial herb, up to 75 cm. Stems terete or obscurely quadrangular, mostly branched. Leaves opposite, narrowly linear-lanceolate, 10-60 mm long, decreasing in size higher along the stem. Clusters of smaller leaves often present in axils of main leaves. Flowers in lax spikes, up to 25 cm long, white. Fruit a capsule, cylindric-ovoid, c. 6 × 3.5mm. |
