| Description: |
Erect annual herb, up to c. 50 cm tall. Stems simple or branched, with coarse whitish hairs. Leaves mostly opposite, spreading, more or less sessile, sometimes alternate and shortly petiolate within the inflorescence, broadly ovate to almost round, 1.5 - 5 cm long; margin coarsely toothed. Flowers in the axils of leaves or leaf-like bracts, pale yellow to dull orange, sometimes purple-veined. See var. sessiliflora and var. monticola (Engl.) Melch. for comparison. |
