Description:
A shrubby perennial, densely glandular pubescent, up to 1.2 m tall. Leaves opposite, ovate-lanceolate, 1-4.5 cm long; margin crenate-serrate. Flowers in terminal racemose inflorescences; bracts similar to the leves but smaller. Corolla white, less often mauve-blue, with yellow to dark purple-brown throat; tube 15-24 mm long.

Habitat: Montane grassland and rocky hillsides.
Altitude range: 1350 - 2300 m
Flowering time:Jul - Oct
Worldwide distribution: Border Highlands of Zimbabwe and Mozambique, including Mt Gorongosa.
