Description: |
More or less erect perennial herb, up to c. 80 cm tall. Plant only faintly aromatic. Stems branching throughout length, rounded to somewhat 4-angled, more or less densely stellately hairy. Leaves opposite, linear-lanceolate to broadly ovate, mostly 2-8 cm long, more or less densely stellately pubescent on both surfaces; margin crenate to laxly toothed; petiole 0-10 mm long. Inflorescence lax, usually with 6-8-flowered verticils. Calyx ascending, funnel-shaped to campanulate, 5.5-13 mm long at flowering time extending to l6 mm long in fruit; teeth more or less narrowly triangular, 2-5 mm long, erect or sometimes recurved. Corolla 9-16 mm long, white to pale pink to lavender or mauve, with or without darker markings; tube 5-10 mm long; anterior lip 3.5-8 mm long. stellately pubescent outside; posterior lip 2-6 mm long, densely stellately pubescent. |
