Description:
|
Slender wiry climber with delicate opposite leaves, ovate with a long acuminate apex. No milky latex seen. Sepals 5. Corolla lobes greenish-white, purple-red towards the base; corona, greenish white and purple-red outside, green in centre. |
Notes:

Specimens are present in SRGH (Müller 2841) and KEW (Chase 576, Chase 5473, Wild 4507, Harder et al. 3817). It has been found, again in Vumba (Hyde & Wursten sn, image 1), Tsetsera, Mozambique (Wursten sight record) and on Mt Gorongosa in Mozambique (Wursten & Ballings 487). It appears to be very close to the East African species T. tenuipedunculata K. Schum., differing mainly in having much larger anther wings. |
