Description: |
Biennial or perennial herb up to 1.5 m, with a woody taproot. Basal leaves broadly ovate, rarely shallowly 3-lobed, cordate at the base; margins finely toothed. Petioles very long, up to 20 cm. Leaves higher on the stem sessile, 3-lobed almost to the base; lobes linear with scattered long lobe-like teeth on the margins. Inflorescences much-branched umbels, lateral and terminal. Ultimate umbels c. 10-flowered. Flowers white, petals conspicuously curled in at the apices. Fruit 1-2 mm, ovoid, laterally compressed, hairy. |
