Description: |
Robust glabrous perennial herb, up to 1.75 m. Stems terete, strongly grooved. Leaves mostly in a basal rosette, oblong up to 25 × 9 cm, more or less truncate at the base; margin toothed with conspicuous cilia. Petiole long, up to 25 cm. Leaves along the stem much smaller, sessile, often strongly clasping. Flowers very small, in terminal and lateral umbels, surrounded by whitish, conspicuous petal-like bracts. Fruit ovoid or obovoid, up to 4 × 3 mm, inconspicuously ribbed otherwise smooth. |
