Description: |
Multi-stemmed shrub or small tree. Older branches angled, even somewhat fluted, younger branches plum-coloured. Leaves ovate-elliptic, elliptic or lanceolate, usually c. 4 cm long, 3-veined from the base, glossy green and finely hairy above, dull and more densely hairy below; base asymmetric; margin finely toothed. Flowers golden-yellow, c. 1-1.5 cm in diameter, in few-flowered, axillary heads, petals shorter than sepals. Fruit spherical, deeply 2-lobed, or 1-lobed by abortion, each lobe c. 4 mm in diameter, pubescent, yellowish. |
