Description:
Small shrub up to 1m high; all parts densely greyish-yellow hairy. Leaves narrowly oblong or elliptic, 2-5 cm long, veins in 13-15 pairs,inconspicuous, lightly impressed above, slightly raised beneath; margin more or less shallowly toothed; petiole c,1 cm long; stipules 1-2 mm long. Flowers in 3-11-flowered leaf-opposed inflorescences; peduncles up to 1.5 cm long; pedicels similar; bracts like the stipules. Sepals narrowly elliptic, up to 10mm long, velvety outside. Petals narrowly oblanceolate-oblong, up to 10 mm long, yellow. Capsule cylindric, c. 3 cm long, not beaked, greyish-yellow velvety with scattered tufts of longer stellate hairs.
