Description:	Climbing shrub, reaching up to 6 m. Stems hairless, with hairless coiled tendrils. Leaves more or less broadly ovate, 1.5-3.5 cm long, hairless above, very finely velvety below, mucronate at the apex; margin entire. Flowers in axillary umbels on hairless peduncles, yellowish. Capsule obovoid, hairless.
Notes:	See H. mystacinus for comparison.

Habitat:	In deciduous woodland, often in rocky places.

Worldwide distribution:	Angola, Botswana, Caprivi-Namibia, DRC, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa as far as the Cape.
