Description: |
Small to medium-sized tree. Bark silvery-grey; branchlets greyish-white with prominent lenticels, hairless. Leaves 3-foliolate; with elliptic leaflets up to 17 × 9 cm, terminal leaflet usually largest, thinly textured, usually hairless, sometimes minutely hairy along the veins, hair-tuft domatia occasionally visible in the axils of the veins below; margin toothed or scalloped. Flowers in branched catkin-like inflorescences, up to 27 cm. long, branched, white or yellowish. Fruit subspherical, c. 7 mm in diameter, bright red when ripe. |
