Notes: | Apart from one uncertain record cited in Flora Zambesiaca volume 9-4: 199 (1996) this species has only recently been recorded from Mozambique. Only two species of Acalypha in Mozambique have inflorescences with female flowers at the top and male flowers below. A. acrogyna differs from A. sonderiana by its unarmed habit, slender branchlets with brownish bark and more acuminate leaves. |
