| Description: |
Small straggly shrub, 1-3 m tall. Leaves alternate or clustered on short spur-branchlets, lanceolate, elliptic to ovate, 2-10 cm long, finely velvety with 2-4 glands near the junction with the petiole, single-veined from the base; margin with several more or less distinct teeth to almost entire. Flowers unisexual on different trees, small, yellowish-green; female flowers in compact, few-flowered axillary heads; male inflorescences longer and with more flowers. Fruit 3-lobed, c. 10 mm in diameter, green, dehiscent. Seeds covered in an orange-red aril. |
