Description: |
Small shrubby herb, sometimes annual, up to 1.5 m high but mostly much shorter. Stems many, slender, minutely pupescent, slightly winged. Leaves linear, 10-30 mm long, sparsely and minutely hairy, usually somewhat rough above and at the margins, rounded but mucronate at the apex. Inflorescences in elongated terminal racemes up to 20 cm long. Flowers pink to violet-purple; wing sepals greenish with distinct dark veining; crest on the keel distinct, c. 1.5 mm long. |
