Description:
Much-branched shrub or small tree. Branches yellowish or greyish-green, armed with simple green spines. Leaves alternate or on the spines, 2-foliolate; leaflets obovate, pale green, rather fleshy, velvety; margin entire; petiole short, velvety. Flowers in small, axillary clusters, c. 1.4 cm in diameter, greenish-white. Fruit c. 2.5 × 2 cm, orange-yellow when ripe, edible but apparently not sought after.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: pedicellaris: with a pedicel.
Habitat: In dry woodland and scrub and on alluvial floodplains.
