Description:
Small to medium-sized deciduous tree. Leaves twice compound with only 1 pair of pinnae, each pinna with 3-6 pairs of large leaflets. Flowers in spherical heads, pale yellow. Pods woody, broad and flattened, covered in brown velvet hairs when young.

Habitat: In hot, dry woodland, particularly mopane woodland.
