Description:

Perennial herb with a stem up to 23 cm long. Leaves alternate, clustered towards the apex of the stem, mostly erect, narrowly oblanceolate-oblong, 0·3–3 cm long, glandular around the margin of the upper surface, hairless or sparsely hairy beneath; stipules 0·3–1·3 cm long, lacerated at the apex; petioles very slender, 0·5–7 cm long, hairless or very sparsely hairy. Peduncles 1–4, 8–30 cm long, arising laterally from the stem, then curving to become erect, grooved, hairless. Inflorescence a 3–13-flowered raceme; pedicels 2–10 mm long, hairless or sparsely hairy; bracts linear to elliptic, 3–5 mm long, falling early. Sepals 5, oblong-lanceolate, 5–7 mm long, hairy. Petals 5, 5–8 mm long, white or purple. |
