Annual or perennial herb, ascending or erect, up to 30 cm, growing from a prostrate rhizome. Leaves restricted to the upper parts of the stems, alternate, (sub)sessile, obovate to lanceolate, usually asymmetrical; margins serrate. Flowers in sessile axillary clusters, unisexual, normally on different plants, rarely on the same plant. |
