Description:
Slender terrestrial herb, 20-25 cm, leafless at flowering time. Inflorescence laxly several-flowered. Sepals brownish, reflexed. Petals pointing forwards, very broadly rounded, yellow, veined brownish on the inside. Lip 3-lobed; side lobes cream, heavily veined with red; mid-lobe with 3 yellow crests. Spur very short, conical.

Habitat: In mixed deciduous woodland, grassland and scrub.
Altitude range: 1100 - 1900 m
Flowering time:Oct - Nov
Worldwide distribution: DRC, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa.
Mozambique distribution: MS
