Description:
Scandent or sometimes pendent leafless, epiphytic herb. Stems up to 90 cm long with numerous spreading, pale grey roots up yo 45 cm long. Inflorescences arising along the stem, 1-1.5 cm long, several-flowered. Flowers white with sepals tipped reddish-pink. Lip 2.5-3 mm long, obscurely 3-lobed. Spur 4-5.5 mm long, sharply incurved, somewhat swollen at the apex.

Derivation of specific name: aphylla: without leaves
Habitat: In low-altitude evergreen and riverine forest or coastal forest.
Altitude range: 0 - 300 m

Worldwide distribution: Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Madagascar and Mascarene Islands.
