Description: |
Epiphytic herb with pseudobulbs spaced along a creeping, woody rhizome. Leaves 1 per pseudobulb, fleshy, up to 20 cm. Inflorescence an umbel of 5-6 flowers, stalk arising from the base of the pseudobulbs. Flowers light purple, blotched with dark purple, sometimes clear yellow. The lateral sepals are long and twisted giving the flowers their typical spearhead-shape. |
