Description: |
Perennial herb, 20-40 cm tall, growing from oval bulbs. Leaves appearing after flowering. Flowers 2-10, pendent, scarlet, borne in an umbel-like inflorescence. Tube long and narrow, lobes spreading. The flowers are short-lived. |
Notes: | This species is very similar to the South African C. contractus N.E.Br. and further research will have to establish the exact relationship between the two taxa. |
