| Description: |
Perennial herb, growing from a vertical, underground rhizome. Leaves usually several, lamina up to 25 cm long, broadly triangular, strongly cordate, mostly hairless; petioles sheathing at the base. The inflorescence borne on a short stalk, arises from among the leaf bases; spathe narrow, greenish to pale yellow, c. 15 cm long, distinctly swollen at the base, tubular for about half its length, tapering to a long point, very short-lived, apparently opening at night. |
