Description: |
Perennial, although can be mistaken for an annual if the fragile rhizome connecting the stem to the tuber is broken. Plant 15─25 cm tall with a simple tuber 8─12 mm long, 4─8 mm wide; rhizome 2─4 cm long, ± 1mm thick; stems erect, glabrous or hairy. Inflorescence usually spicate, occasionally with short branches in the lower half; glomerules crowded. |
