Description:
Annual grass with slender and wiry, erect or ascending culms up to 30 cm high. Leaves along the culms, lanceolate to ovate, 0.5-2.5 cm long. Inflorescence a compact panicle. Spikelets 3.5-5.5 mm long with a central awn 7-15 mm long; callus truncate to emarginate.

Habitat: Wet seepage on banks and among rocks.
