Annual. Culms 25–100 cm. high; ligule a line of hairs. Inflorescence 5–20 cm. long, linear; racemes up to 4 cm. long, like E. colona. Spikelets 2.5–3.5 mm. long, elliptic, pubescent. Inferior floret ? or barren, its lemma acute or with an awn point up to 3 mm. long. Superior lemma 2–2.5 mm. long. |
