Description: |
Densely caespitose perennial usually forming dense tufts; culms up to 70 cm tall, the leaves mostly crowded at the base; leaf sheaths splitting into a dense cushion of fibres; leaf laminas 1.5–14 cm long, flat or folded.Raceme 4–16 cm long, straight or falcate, ciliate to densely barbate at the base.Spikelets 1-flowered, 3.4–4.1 mm long; lemma 2–2.6 mm long; anthers 1–1.6 mm long.Caryopsis c. 1.8 mm long. |
